This Privacy Policy describes the information Human Hotel ("Human Hotel") collects about you, how we use and share that information and the privacy choices we offer. As explained in the Terms of Service, this Privacy Policy applies to information we collect when you use our websites, mobile applications and other online products and services (collectively, the “Services”), or when you otherwise interact with us.

1. User and Usage information collected

1.1 In order to facilitate certain services on the Website, Human Hotel may collect personal information about you, such as your full name, email address, and phone number.

1.2 Human Hotel may also collect usage data, such as your IP address, URL request, browser type, and the date and time of a request. We may use such information to analyze trends, administer the site, and gather broad demographic information.

1.3 We may also obtain information from other sources and combine that with information we collect through our Services. For example, if you create or log into your Human Hotel account through a third-party social networking site, we will have access to certain information from that site, such as your name, profile picture, connections and other account information in accordance with the authorization procedures determined by such third-party social networking site.

  1. In specific instances when you provide your consent to have your information shared as part of Human Hotel services; 

    a.1 If you register as a guest of the Human Hotel, your specific personal information (name, email, phone, number, address) will not be shared with other users. At your discretion, you will have the opportunity to share that information yourself. Your specific personal information will not be shared with any other users of the Human Hotel, except in circumstances outlined in this Privacy Policy or when we inform you and give you an opportunity to opt out of having your personal information shared.

    a.2 If you register as a host in the Human Hotel, you agree to allow your specific personal information (name, email, phone, number, address) to be shared with any guest that you explicitly agree to provide housing to. For each instance of information-sharing, your explicit consent will be requested. Your specific personal information will not be shared with any other users of the Human Hotel, except in circumstances outlined in this Privacy Policy or when we inform you and give you an opportunity to opt out of having your personal information shared.

  2. Human Hotel staff have access to your personal information to the extent necessary to facilitate the services of the Human Hotel; 

  3. With third party vendors, consultants and other service providers who need access to such information to carry out their work for us;

  4. In response to a subpoena or similar investigative demand, a court order, or a request for cooperation from a law enforcement or other government agency; to establish or exercise our legal rights; to defend against legal claims; or as otherwise required by law. 4.2 Please note that even after you deactivate your account, we may retain certain information as required by law, for legitimate business purposes and to protect member safety.

5. Location Information via Mobile Device

5.1 You have the ability to turn location-based services on and off by adjusting the settings of your Internet browser or mobile device and by following the standard uninstall process and removing Human Hotel’s application from your device. Doing so, however, may mean that you cannot use all or a portion of our Services. 

6. Third Parties Privacy Policies Apply

6.1 The Services may offer social sharing features or other integrated tools (such as Facebook, Google Maps, Twitter, etc.), which let you share actions you take on our Services with other media, and vice versa. The use of such features enables the sharing of certain information with your friends or the public, depending on the settings you establish with the third party that provides the social sharing feature. For more information about the purpose and scope of data collection and processing in connection with social sharing features or other integrated tools, please visit the privacy policies of the third parties that provide these social sharing features. 

6.2 The Services may allow you to access Google Maps. Please note that when you use Google Maps, you are subject to Google’s privacy policy, as amended by Google from time to time.
