ABOUT ME & MY WORK

For the past 42 years I have served as NYC'S urban Shaman. (the NewYorker dubbed the "Unofficial commissioner of public spirit of New York!" In essence, I have reinvented the ancient and honorable profession of Shaman as a way to heal the urban disconnect from the natural world. And in the process I have been privileged to facilitate hundreds of free, participatory public rituals to promote eco-response-ability and joyful reverence for All That Is. Although I have studied with several indigenous spiritual teachers, I do not emulate their profound work. I am a contemporary urban woman living in NYC, the capital of the world. I am an urban shaman who draws from and celebrates the vast spectrum of multicultural spiritual traditions and ceremonial practices. In addition to my public rituals, I perform ceremonies for weddings, funerals, house and baby blessings see clients for intuitive tarot readings and spiritual counseling. I have published four books on multicultural ritual practice and am a ritual consultant for the television and motion pictures.
