FAQs

Can I host guests for free?

Yes you can. It’s very important that people from all backgrounds and income levels can participate in the community.

How much can I charge overnight guests?

We’ve set out a guide to ensure fair pricing:

Shared Room
100-150 DKK per night

Private Room
200-350 DKK per night

Entire Home
400-500 DKK per night

You can also set an extra guest fee of up to 150 DKK per guest, per night.
For example, one person alone booking your private room could be charged a maximum of 350 dkk per night, but if a someone books your private room for 2 guests, the maximum price you could charge would be 350 + 150 = 500 dkk per night in total. For 3 guests, 650 dkk per night total. etc.

You’ll find this in Additional Settings when setting up your space.

Will I get to choose who stays in my home as a guest?

Absolutely, guests find host spaces that they want to book, and then hosts are able to view this booking request (including the guest’s profile) and decide whether to accept or not. You’ll also be able to chat privately with the guest before accepting, using the message function on the site.

What are the terms and conditions?

We keep things simple and straightforward for our guests and hosts. Read further our full Terms of Use and Privacy Policy

What are the trust & safety initiatives?
The Archistay homestay network has been designed to allow communication between hosts and guests ahead of the stay and we encourage people to chat ahead of accepting bookings, and then to set up a zoom or other online face to face conversation ahead of the stay.

We verify participants in the network via bank details and encourage people to upload further ID to the platform
How do I start hosting?

You can start hosting by uploading your space. It only takes a couple of minutes.
